Invoicing is a crucial business practice. Many businesses use Odoo to help create, send and monitor invoices. However, the default invoice tools in Odoo do not always work in a way which suits the established way of doing things.
We created the Invoicing Extended tool to help our customer overcome this challenge.
Our customer asked us to help them create a solution that would allow them to continue using Odoo whilst maintaining their established invoicing process. To do this we developed the Invoicing Extended module.
The Invoicing Extended module was created to offer our customer the functionality they needed to complete their invoicing in Odoo. Doing this allowed our customer to complete another business process on the Odoo platform - reducing friction and increasing efficiency.
How it Works
We worked to develop a module that would alter the behaviour of the Odoo invoicing module. This included:
- Changing the form view to include invoice type identification
- Customising email and report templates to bring them in line with company style
- Adding a feature to ensure the invoice addressees remain static
