Keeping company accounts up to date can be a frustrating and time-consuming process. We developed the Plaid Bank Integration module to help speed up the process and free up employees' time to focus on more important issues.
The Challenge
Our customer approached us to help them speed up their accounting process. We noticed that they were currently manually importing bank statements from their bank account into Odoo at the end of each working day. This was time-consuming and left room for costly errors.
The Solution
To help our customer overcome this challenge we created a module that lets users automatically import bank statements into Odoo throughout the day.
This drastically cuts the time that employees have to spend on the manual download and upload of bank statements. It also eradicates the chance of potential errors when exporting anything from their bank and importing it into Odoo.
As Plaid updates multiple times a day, it makes the date in Odoo more relevant and timely than completing the process manually.
How it Works
The module fulfils the customer needs by integrating with Plaid. This allows us to automatically bring in the transactions from the customer's bank account, throughout the day, and create a bank statement in odoo.
Mixed with the automatic matching module, we begin to take out a lot of the effort involved in everyday accounting.
